I purchased a 2015 Macbook last week since my main machine was on its last legs. Once I opened the box, the dreaded feeling of having to do a data migration came over me. Photos, music, apps, and every other document had to be moved over to the new machine.
However, I realized that it didn’t have to be this way. A good portion of my photos, music, and documents are on some sort of cloud service. Once I logged in they would be downloaded to the new machine. I also realized that I didn’t have to bring everything over. There was bound to be some items that I never accessed and were cluttering up the system. So I just left them there to be deleted when I wipe the machine to sell it.
The same thing is occurring on this blog. There’s a lot of things that are cluttering up the system. They’re either posts that are out of date or just don’t apply to me anymore.
So it’s time to turn everything back to zero and start over. You’ll be able to find older blog posts on a new project that I’m working on with Katie Allred, but for now I’m removing them from the site.
The same thing goes for the podcast too. Katie and I will still be recording our normal podcast, but as for my personal podcast, it will be going through a complete reboot.
Starting over is fun. So let’s go have some fun.
